Volcanic Rock and Fibreglass: Built to Hold Colour Differently
Marin works in volcanic rock fused with fibreglass, a combination that gives each piece a weight and texture you don't get from resin or cast metal. The material absorbs and reflects light in a way that makes the high-gloss lacquer finish feel alive rather than decorative. The shadows a High Flyer Balloon casts are part of the piece. The glossy form projects off ceilings & walls, pulling the eye in a way a flat print simply cannot.

The right colour combination against the right wall changes the whole feel of a room. Keep it uniform and match the figure colour to the balloon, or mix it up with contrasting colours.

Every sculpture is hand-finished by Marin personally, then signed. His signature and the year of creation are on the sole of the foot. That detail is what separates a manufactured object from a collected work of art. Each High Flyer Balloon ships with a certificate of authenticity.

In-stock colourways ship within 5–7 working days. If you want a colour outside current stock, your High Flyer Balloon is made on pre-order and can take up to 10 weeks to arrive. Worth every week of the wait. Every balloon includes ceiling fixings (wire, hook and flat top screw) and a certificate of authenticity.
