Marin works in volcanic rock fused with fibreglass, a combination that gives each piece a weight and texture you don't expect from wall-mounted sculpture.
 
The material holds colour differently to resin or cast metal; it absorbs and reflects light in a way that makes the high-gloss lacquer finish feel alive rather than decorative. 
 
There are 29 colourways to choose from, 18 solid colours and 11 marbled swirl finishes, and the choice matters more than you'd think. The right colour against the right wall doesn't just complement the space, it charges it. 
 
Every sculpture is hand-finished by Marin personally, and signed. You'll find his signature and the year of creation on the sole of the foot. That's not incidental. It's the difference between a manufactured object and a collected work.
 
They're designed to be lived with and added to. A single piece adds intrigue to a small space. Several together, whether arranged across a featured wall at home or in the office, or covering an entire wall for a genuinely impactful installation, create something closer to an environment.
 
The shadows these glossy figures cast are part of the work, projecting off the surface and pulling the eye in ways that far exceed the size of the individual piece. Installation is straightforward. Each sculpture comes with a 3 metre (9ft) stainless steel cable, a screw, and a cap that keeps the fixing invisible from the front. The cable also means the piece won't shift if knocked, which matters when you're hanging something worth keeping.
